Senecio scaposus, native to South Africa, forms cobwebby rosettes of long silver finger-like leaves. Silvery rosettes provide great accent for rock gardens. Member of the Aster family. Flowers are like bright yellow daisies. Porous soil with adequate drainage. Bright light with ample airflow. Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch. Less water during winter months. Protect from frost. they bloom in winter/spring and require at least 36 degrees fahrenheit. the smaller plants are more silver white in color versus the more mature plants which are greener. | |
