IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
CHECK Dormancy Table to SEE WHAT'S GROWING & WHAT'S DORMANT

We remove some of the soil when we ship. There are usually no issues with a plants
out of soil or kept dry for a week or more. When you receive your plants, put them
into a pot with moist soil. Regards watering: give
the roots opportunity to start
reaching down for water. Please check to see if your plants should be watered at
the time of year you purchase. Some don't get water in winter and some no water in summer.
How often you water depends on how quickly your soil dries out. Most important, don't overwater.

The photos on our website represent what plants look like when growing.
We are not selling the plant in the photo.
Whether your plant has flowers depends on whether it is flowering at that time.
A pot may be one large plant or more than one plant. Plants grow at a different pace and different sizes
so if you order 2 plants coming out of the same size pot, they may not be the same size.

Sale plants may require additional freight payment

Euphorbia obesa clusters

Euphorbia clusters just form. I can't make them do that. They just do.
Euphorbia obesa comes from the Eastern Cape and is protected by international Cites legislation. They grow in full sun and partial shade. . In habitat, they are hard to see as they are camouflaged. Euphorbias have a milky latex which is poisonous and is especially irritant to tender or cut skin and the eyes and all plants should be handled with care. Euphorbia obesa grows well on a sunny windowsill or outdoor area. Needs to be brought inside when the weather is cold as they are not frost tolerant. Euphorbia obesas like a shale soil with gravel. Water lightly in summer and keep dry in winter. It can stay in the same pot for years. Euphorbia obesa are slow growing. Often, especially in bright light, these bands can be an attractive contrasting purplish-bronze. Great conversation piece. Known as the "Basketball" plant. All Euphorbias contain a white sap that can be irritating to eyes and mucous membranes. If contact is made with this white sap, take care to not touch face or eyes before washing hands with soap and water. Responds well to warmth, with its active growth period in the late spring and summer months. Porous soil with adequate drainage. Requires bright light for best appearance, and should be given a winter resting period at which time less water should be given. Protect from frost.
