Aloe 'Black Beauty'

Aloe 'Black Beauty' is an attractive hybrid of Aloe rauhii and Aloe parvula with slender leaves in a rosette to 8" in diameter. Leaves are purplish to nearly black in strong light and have a rough "cow's tongue" texture from the raised papillae. Coral red tubular flowers on tall spikes often visited by hummingbirds for the sweet nectar. Bright, filtered light with ample airflow. Porous soil with adequate drainage. Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch. Protect from frost.
